We are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager / Surveyor with an insurance industry background in the South West. Working for a building contractor in the insurance claim repairs division of the business, you will be working on a number of insurance company contracts; surveying, scoping and managing the property reinstatement projects to completion.

Job role and responsibilities

  • Liaison with policyholder, insurer and trades to ensure the projects run smoothly
  • Carrying out site visits to survey and produce a scope of works
  • Allocating correct trades and materials
  • Supervision of larger works and carrying out on-site audits to ensure compliance with health & safety and good working practices
  • Supervising direct trades/sub-contractors on your projects
  • Providing update/reports on the progress of claims you are managing
  • Ensuring excellent customer service & quality of works at all times

What skills/experience will you need?

  • A background in surveying & scoping insurance claim repair projects
  • Experience in overseeing trades & sub-contractors within a property repairs environment (insurance repairs) and managing the financial & SLA elements of the project
  • An excellent knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry and be able to produce an accurate schedule of works
  • Ideally you have experience of insurance systems/scoping tools and be very comfortable using Excel
  • You will need a full UK driving licence (vehicle options available)

Package details

In addition to the Contracts Manager / Surveyor salary (negotiable dependent upon experience around £43-£52k), you will also receive a company vehicle or car allowance.
