We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager in or around the Leeds / Barnsley / Wakefield area. The successful Contracts Manager will oversee a caseload of insurance reinstatement projects, mainly residential properties with average repair project value at £10k-£30k. Following the initial visit by the surveyor who will scope the works, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for the planning, programming, profit, and final accounts on each project. You will have your own dedicated team of direct trades and the use of specialist sub-contractors as well as admin support.

Job role and responsibilities:

  • This role will suit an experienced Contracts Manager.
  • Ideally you will have experience in the insurance reinstatement industry, but we will also consider applications from other sectors, e.g. Housing Associations.
  • Planning & programming residential refurbishments following insurance claims.
  • Managing spend & profit budgets on each project.
  • Monitoring all KPIs and SLAs.
  • Allocating and scheduling resources (direct trades and sub-contractors).
  • Managing and monitoring variations to the contract, ensuring delays are minimised and profitability is achieved.
  • Dealing with any issues arising and managing any complaints.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are met.

What skills/experience will you need?

  • For this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in managing medium to high value repairs projects from inception to completion.
  • You will need a strong background in residential property building/refurbishments and have had experience in managing direct trades / sub-contractors.
  • Some experience in the use of Symbility (or similar) is ideal but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence is required (car or allowance provided).

In addition to the Contracts Manager salary (£43k-45k), you will receive a car or allowance, paid holiday, pension, and profit share.
