Insurance Surveyor / Contracts Manager
Location: Kent (Dartford, Sevenoaks, Bromley, Maidstone) or Essex
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (DOE) Company Car Benefits
This is for a well-established, successful company based in Essex, specialising in insurance reinstatement works following fire, flood, escape of water, and subsidence damage. Currently seeking an experienced Insurance Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join a close-knit team.
In this role, you will manage domestic reinstatement projects from survey through to completion, ensuring works are scoped, scheduled, and delivered efficiently and to high standards. You will be responsible for the larger tender claims, valued between £100k – £300k. You will oversee sub-contractors, maintain budget control, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety/CDM regulations. You will be supported by a strong office admin team (diary management and WIP coordination).
This is a hybrid role with 2/3 days in the office based in Essex (although mornings will normally be spent out in the field carrying out site visits).
Surveyor / Contracts Manager Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in insurance reinstatement and domestic property repairs
- Experience of tendered claims, valued £100k – £300k
- Strong knowledge of trades, costs, and defect diagnosis
- Familiarity with Symbility/CoreLogic, Xactimate, or similar software
- Solid understanding of CDM and Health & Safety regulations
- Full UK driving licence
