Day shift Working Hours: 2-week shift pattern below:

  • A - Mon: 08:00 20:00 / Tue: 08:00 20:00 / Wed: 08:00 20:00 - Thu: off / Fri: off / Sat: off / Sun: off
  • B - Mon: off / Tue: 08:00 20:00 / Wed: 08:00 20:00 / Thu: 08:00 20:00 / Fri: 08:00 17:00 / Sat: off / Sun: off

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will:

  • Assist in the production of moulded parts ensuring they are moulded to customer specification.
  • Assemble, pack and label finished goods in preparation for shipment.
  • Rapid reporting of machine breakdown to Process team.
  • Rapid reporting of quality issues to Quality team.
  • Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain factory floor in excellent order, utilise 5S system, and ensure housekeeping is kept to the highest standard in all areas of responsibility for the Moulding Dept.
  • Support the reduction of scrap from site.
  • Ensure that safety is maintained/improved by reporting unsafe conditions/incidents.
  • Visual inspection of produced components for quality and to identify issues or defects.
  • Basic problem solving.
  • Label/wrap/transport pallets to holding areas.
  • Contribute to Denroy's unified manufacturing excellence program.
  • Perform any other duties that are appropriate to the role.

Requirements:

  • Able to work on foot for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Ability to listen and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to work on own initiative.
  • Have a flexible approach.
  • Have attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • To have previous experience in injection moulding and/or previous experience working in a factory setting.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S.
  • Operation of injection moulding including: basic machine operator functions, start, stop, setup and tool change.

Expected Education: 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
