Weekly paid hours: 37.5 hours

Working hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 08:00am-1:30pm

Position Overview: Denroy Limited is seeking a motivated Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to begin their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, gaining practical experience in process improvement, production support, quality, safety and new product introduction. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while developing the technical and professional skills needed to grow within Denroy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, improvement and implementation of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality and safety.
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects across production areas, including waste reduction, cycle time improvement and workplace organisation.
  • Work with production, quality, design and engineering teams to help investigate and resolve manufacturing and technical issues.
  • Support new product introduction activity, including manufacturing readiness, process documentation, tooling requirements and trial builds.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis to identify trends, root causes of defects and opportunities for corrective action.
  • Prepare and maintain work instructions, process documents, technical reports and project updates.
  • Take part in lean manufacturing, 5S and problem-solving activities to support operational excellence.
  • Support the installation, commissioning and validation of equipment, tooling and manufacturing improvements where required.
  • Develop knowledge of Denroy's manufacturing processes, quality standards, health and safety requirements and industry best practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • For HNC/HND qualifications min of 2 year working in a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong interest in manufacturing, process improvement, plastics, automation and engineering problem solving.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret and present information clearly.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues across production, quality and engineering.
  • Proactive, organised and willing to learn, with a practical approach to solving problems in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Placement year, internship or project experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
  • Awareness of plastics injection moulding, assembly processes, lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with CAD, data analysis, Microsoft Office or manufacturing systems would be advantageous.
  • Enthusiasm to develop a career in manufacturing engineering within a growing local business.
