Job Role
Dennison JCB have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time role in Sales Support for Machine Valet Preparation & Logistics. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role will involve responsibility for aspects of sales support and machine logistics prior to the customer handover with our Sales team to ensure smooth completion of our customer sales journey.
Hours & Location
The core hours for this role will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, however, some flexibility will be required as and when needed dependent on workload. The role will primarily be based at our Dennison JCB franchise at Ballyhartfield; travel to customer sites and other locations as required.
About The Role
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for our site display of new and used machines and ensure a neat, tidy and professional layout is in place at all times
- Transport demo machines and new compact machines to customer premises using Jeep and trailer
- Basic valeting and cleaning of new machines
- Photographing our used machine display for advertising
- Assist the sales team when requested to conduct an effective handover process for JCB machines with customers
- Promoting Dennison JCB in a positive light with customers and the general public
- Clear communication with our Sales administration team and work collaboratively alongside the whole Sales team to deliver an exceptional level of service for customer handovers
- Co-ordinate the collection and delivery of machines to existing customer sites, body builders, paint shop etc
- Other ad hoc duties commensurate with the position
Required Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years previous relevant experience operating plant machinery
- Hold a full driving licence and other relevant licences to operate and transport machines as required
- Be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and written and both internally and externally
- Previous experience of liaising effectively with customers
- Possess strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Have the ability to structure work load efficiently and be able to adapt to changing priorities
- Possess a responsible and methodical attitude to work
- Must be self-motivated, proactive and flexible with regards to working hours
- Teamwork – be an effective member of a high performing team that pro-actively supports others to achieve the overall goals and targets
- Adaptability – Understand that different situations and levels may call for different skills/approaches, enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and be open to change
- Resilience – Pursue everything with energy, drive and seldom give up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance, setbacks or target deadlines
- IT Skills – ability to use common computer packages e.g Microsoft Outlook, Word etc
Desired Criteria
- Trailer licence is highly desirable
- Previous relevant sales support experience would be highly desirable (particularly within the transport industry e.g. automotive/ motor factors / plant machinery / heavy vehicle industry or within a franchised dealership)
