Gurney Reeve & Co Ltd, Suton, Wymondham, have a vacancy within our Stores/Parts department. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts supervisor to join our busy and expanding parts department. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced agricultural, horticultural, construction and manufacturing environment, supporting a trade counter, phone calls, stock management, and goods inwards.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervising the daily operation of the parts department
- Serving customers and manufacturing staff at the trade counter
- Managing goods inwards, checking deliveries, booking stock, packing, and arranging shipment of parts and machines
- Liaising with parts manager regarding orders, returns, and shortages
- Ensuring clean, safe, and efficient stores environment
- Supporting the team to deliver excellent service
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a parts department or supervisory role
- Agricultural or Construction or Horticultural machinery background preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good IT and stock knowledge
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Forklift licence beneficial but not essential
