We’re looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our Aftermarket team, carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on our specialist fleet. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll use your technical expertise to diagnose faults, solve problems and deliver high‑quality work that keeps vehicles safe, compliant and on the road.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
  • Servicing and maintaining vehicles to industry and company standards
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections and completing quality checks
  • Carrying out body, chassis and hydraulic repairs as required
  • Using diagnostic tools and systems to identify and resolve issues
  • Completing job records accurately and updating workshop systems
  • Working closely with customers to provide a professional service
  • Following health, safety and quality procedures at all times
  • Supporting continuous improvement through ongoing technical training and development

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Experience maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
  • A proactive approach to problem solving
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working on refuse collection vehicles or similar specialist vehicles
  • Experience with electric vehicles
  • IRTEC accreditation or manufacturer training
  • HGV Class 2 licence
  • Experience using workshop management systems
