Hours: 40 hours per week | between 08:30 and 17:00 Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Production Engineer looking to take the lead on improvement projects, new product introductions and manufacturing innovation? We're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to play a key role in improving production processes, introducing new technologies and driving operational efficiency across our manufacturing operation. Working closely with both Production and Engineering teams, you'll help turn ideas into practical solutions that improve quality, productivity and performance.

As a Senior Production Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects that support the continued development of our manufacturing processes and facilities. You'll identify opportunities for improvement, solve production challenges and help ensure new products and processes are successfully introduced into production.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks to improve efficiency and output
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Introduce new processes, products and technologies that improve quality and productivity
  • Support prototype builds, proof builds and new product introduction (NPI) activities
  • Create and maintain build instructions, process documentation and risk assessments
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve manufacturing issues and improve production performance
  • Deliver projects ranging from factory improvements and layout changes to manufacturing process optimisation
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and apprentices

What We're Looking For

  • Degree (or equivalent) qualified in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in a Production Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, line balancing and lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience delivering process improvements that drive productivity, quality and cost savings
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing change projects
  • Confident producing technical documentation, work instructions and process controls
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach to overcoming production challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workloads and deliver results to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior engineers would be advantageous
  • CAD experience and familiarity with manufacturing improvement tools would be beneficial
