Role: Systems Design Engineer
Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE
Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 13:00 Friday
Salary: between £40,000.00 – £60,000.00pa DOE
Are you a systems thinker with a passion for engineering integration and innovation? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Design Engineer to join our Engineering team in Warwick!
This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead the design, development, and validation of vehicle systems, ensuring seamless integration across electrical, mechanical, and communication platforms. You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of our vehicle platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document system requirements and architectures
- Capture stakeholder needs and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Lead multi-system integration across electrical, mechanical, and communication domains
- Generate electrical interconnection schematics and supporting documentation
- Support system and vehicle commissioning, start-up, and fault finding
- Contribute to DVP planning and validation activities
- Collaborate with software and testing teams to ensure system performance
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Proven experience in systems engineering
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and system integration
- Skilled in requirements capture, the V-model, and DVP&R generation
- Experience with electrical schematics and commissioning processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Familiarity with CANbus, ISO26262, and functional safety is a bonus
- Willing to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas
