Overview
Role: Material Handler – 6 Months FTC
Location: Blackpool, FY4 4NW
Hours: 37 hours per week | between 07:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday
Hourly rate: between £14.97 and £15.89 ph DOE
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Materials team on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring materials are delivered to the right place at the right time and supporting smooth operations with production teams while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate supply of materials to production lines
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production needs
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow health and safety procedures
- Adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as required
- Support inventory accuracy and resolve material handling issues
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in line storage, receiving, and distribution of parts
- Familiar with inventory management systems (e.g. Avante)
- Good initiative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively and work well in a team
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- FLT licence, overhead crane licence, or driving licence is a bonus
- Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, stooping, and moving between units
