Are you a skilled technician with a passion for problem-solving and delivering exceptional service? We\’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our Aftermarket team!
This is a mobile role where you\’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining specialist vehicles at customer sites and company workshops. You\’ll play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipmentCarry out servicing and maintenance to a high standardPrepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with Department Of Transport specificationsUse diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issuesLog all work using PDA software and maintain accurate service recordsTravel to customer sites across the UK, sometimes at short noticeMaintain a clean and safe working environment at all timesCommunicate clearly with customers and provide excellent serviceSupport health and safety practices and complete risk assessments as required
Ideal Candidate
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and MaintenancePrevious experience in a similar role (Field Service, HGV Mechanic, Workshop Engineer)Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsKnowledge of vehicle technology systems and compliance standardsComfortable working independently and managing your own workloadExcellent communication and customer service skillsFlexible with working hours and willing to travelGeneral computer literacy and ability to complete technical documentationExperience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus
