Location: Covering all of the Midlands, you will be allocated to the Aldridge Service Centre.
Hours: 45 hours per week | between 08:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday - 40-hour per week option available.

Are you a skilled technician with a passion for problem-solving and delivering exceptional service? We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our Aftermarket team. This is a mobile role where you’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining specialist vehicles at customer sites and company workshops. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment.
- Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with Department Of Transport specifications.
- Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Log all work using PDA software and maintain accurate service records.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK, sometimes at short notice.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service.
- Support health and safety practices and complete risk assessments as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance.
- Previous experience in a similar role (Field Service, HGV Mechanic, Workshop Engineer).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle technology systems and compliance standards.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible with working hours and willing to travel.
- General computer literacy and ability to complete technical documentation.
