This is a mobile role where youll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining specialist vehicles at customer sites and company workshops. Youll play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Field Service EngineerKey Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with Department Of Transport specifications
  • Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues
  • Log all work using PDA software and maintain accurate service records
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK, sometimes at short notice
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
  • Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service
  • Support health and safety practices and complete risk assessments as required

Field Service EngineerIdeal Candidate:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
  • Previous experience in a similar role (Field Service, HGV Mechanic, Workshop Engineer)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of vehicle technology systems and compliance standards
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible with working hours and willing to travel
  • General computer literacy and ability to complete technical documentation
  • Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus
