The Company you will work for;

Mtrec Commercial is proudly representing our highly established and successful client in their search for an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to join the company as soon as possible. If you have the required skills and experience, please apply for an immediate response!

The Role you will be doing;

  • Review schedules and facilitate the release of customer sales orders and associated documentation.
  • Manage commodity and tariff code administration.
  • Facilitate the shipping of customer orders both domestically and internationally using couriers, freight forwarders, customer intermediaries, and portals.
  • Assist with Customs Clearance processes.
  • Respond to queries related to Contracts, Sales, Customer Services, Quality, Purchasing, and Accounts.
  • Provide information and prepare progress reports as required by the management team.
  • Manage export licensing and compliance.
  • Support activities for UK government departments, including Export Control and the Department for International Trade.
  • Facilitate claims with couriers and freight forwarders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational support issues.
  • Maintain record keeping and archiving.
  • Track process quality issues that may prevent on-time delivery.
  • Support improvement programs for the company\’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental management systems.

The role is based on general office hours, Monday to Friday.

About you;

  • Well-organized with strong administrative and IT skills.
  • High level of numeracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Proficient in using multiple applications and computer literate.
  • Previous experience and understanding of customs processes such as import/export declarations, VA, tariff codes, commercial invoices, Incoterms, and harmonized tariff codes.
  • Self-starter able to prioritize work based on customer due dates.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in domestic and international shipping.
  • Experience with courier, freight forwarder, and customer portals.
