The Role you will be doing
- Pro‑actively provide pricing alternatives, routing solutions and technical assistance to clients
- Respond to requests for proposal, quotation or information timely and with market competitive pricing matching the scope of service required by the customer.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, and others) and evaluate them at defined intervals, focusing on areas of possible improvement.
- Provide best in class service to current and new customer base in order to gain trust and obtain client retention.
- Instil and foster a climate of compliance at all times to regulations including internal policies and procedures (SOPs), external government regulations, international agreements or customer policies/requirements.
- Ensure any contracts, vendor, customer or other, are reviewed in accordance to company contract policies prior to being signed.
- Identify potential problem areas that will or may affect the supply of services and take necessary remedial action to mitigate such problems.
- Whenever appropriate, promote the wider Groups capabilities and advise these businesses of potential opportunities.

- At all times ensure compliance to companies HSSQE systems and procedures.
- Ensure safety of yourself and others around you.
- Be aware of trade compliance regulations, multilateral trade regimes, dual use requirements.
- Know Your Customer red flag concerns.
About You
- Degree in Business Management or Administration, International Trade (MBA) or similar.
- IATA / FIATA courses will be an asset.
- Knowledge of Airline Industry.
- Project Management experience will be an asset.
- Previous experience as an Airfreight Coordinator is desirable, but good administrative skills and experience as a Freight Forwarder in an area other than air, may be sufficient.
- Knowledge of import / export customs processes is a must.
- Preferably have experience in all aspects of export and import regulatory compliance such as but not limited to: Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, Anti-money laundering, Restricted Party Screening, Financial, trade and sectorial sanctions, HS Code classification of goods to being shipped internationally, Dual Use Export Controlled Goods, Re-export Country Restrictions, Precursor Chemicals (Export Controlled chemicals), HAZCHEM Class Goods.
