An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Fabricator/Welder for Automotive Parts, at a successful motorsport company based near Burton-on-Trent. This position is Part-Time. Hours to be agreed. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and would ideally suit someone from an Automotive or Motorsport background. The job is for immediate start. This is an ideal position for someone looking for variation in their work.
Job specification:
- Must be conversant with aluminium and steel tig welding, mig welding and gas bronzing, all to a high standard.
- To have excellent skills in metal bending and forming.
- To be able to work on own initiative in the construction of our race chassis and associated parts.
- Quick learner and able to follow process sheets and complete necessary paperwork.
- Should be adept at reading and following specialist drawings.
- At least 8+ years experience necessary in the Fabrication trade.
- Automotive or Motorsport knowledge an advantage but not essential.
- Ensure key dates and deadlines are met.
- This position is a pivotal role within the workshop with various jobs from roll over cage construction, fuel and oil tank manufacture along with complete chassis manufacturing 95% all new parts.
- This is not repairing old rusty cars.
