Job Summary Under the direction of the team leader, the theatre practitioner/ anaesthetic/recovery Nurse is accountable for organising and providing nursing care in the peri-operative setting. They will work to support the Anaesthetic team to develop and maintain excellence in peri-operative practice. The successful candidate would be expected to work as part of the team to deliver high standards of patient care responsive to patient\'s needs. There would be an expectation that you would be flexible and able to work to work a variety of shifts days, nights and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the service.
Main duties Assess plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care in partnership with the patient, multidisciplinary team and family/carer where appropriate.
Actively focus on health promotion with individual patients.
Effectively manage your workload delegated by a senior nurse by prioritising care appropriately.
Carry out a range of Anaesthetics, Recovery and obstetric clinical duties, providing a 24/7 service.
