The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
Responsible for the maintenance and maintaining of records relating to all site plant and equipment. Developing maintenance schedules to allow for equipment to be maintained to manufacturers agreed maintenance and servicing requirements, and the legal requirements under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance of all site plant and equipment;
- Maintaining records relating to maintenance of site equipment;
- Overseeing and ensuring the safe operation of onsite blasting/paint equipment;
- Assisting with commissioning new equipment;
- Assisting management with maintaining the siteβs ISO certification;
- Undertaking scheduled PUWER assessments for all equipment;
- Ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out.
Accountability:
Reports directly to the nominated project Operations Manager on a daily basis and works closely with the Company Asset Manager to ensure all plant and equipment is maintained to agreed maintenance schedules, and all plant and equipment operates safely.
Profile:
- Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter in a fast paced environment;
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualification or time served is essential;
- Sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure;
- Good verbal communication skills;
- Flexible approach to working hours;
- Experience of hydraulic and electrical systems;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure;
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
