TITLE: Industrial Blasting and Painting Supervisor
FUNCTION:
Denholm Industrial Services Limited have opportunities for experienced Blasting and Painting Supervisors and Managers throughout the UK.
You will be responsible for supervising/managing workforce compliance with quality standards and procedures for the preparation of substrates and subsequent application of coating and surface treatments on long-term Marine and Infrastructure projects.
REPORTS TO: Director (Marine)

ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Supervisor/Manager reports directly to the Project Manager on a day to day basis as required.
Job Description:
· Management of the Day running of the workforce under their control
· Ensure overall end to end compliance with Project Specification(s) and Client requirements
· Ensure that material is stored and handled in accordance with manufacturer’s requirements and data sheets are available, when required, material traceability is maintained, and correct material used.
· Monitor performance of DIS painting/blasting personnel, ensure Applicators are carrying out their works to the contract requirements and where required ensure that, equipment is in serviceable condition.
· Ensure inspection and test equipment is serviceable, with in calibration period and personnel are knowledgeable in its use.
· Ensure blast medium and coating materials conform to project specifications.
· Ensure surface preparation blast profile/cleanliness meet requirements,
· Monitor dry film thickness and re-coating intervals.
· Ensure any identification marks or tags removed or over coated are replaced.
· Prepare daily reports on the work in progress.
· Carry out any other duties as and when required
Skills & Experience
· ICORR (Institute of Corrosion) Preferred but not essential
· TTP or ICATS Supervisor Card
Experience of the following:

· Blasting and Surface Parameters
· Painting techniques
· Coating repair systems
The rate for this position is negotiable dependent on the level of experience and qualification of the candidate
