Purpose of the Role
The HSE Manager will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards across a fast-paced warehousing and logistics operation. The role is responsible for ensuring legal compliance, reducing risk, promoting a positive safety culture, and supporting operational teams to work safely and sustainably.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide practical HSE advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and ensure effective safe systems of work are in place.
- Support environmental management, including waste, spill prevention, energy efficiency, and environmental compliance.
- Monitor compliance with UK HSE legislation, company policies, and industry best practice.
- Develop, review, and implement risk assessments, policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
- Lead or support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
