We are currently recruiting for Scaffolding Labourers (COTS) to join our growing team across the South Coast.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced labourers and those looking to start a career in scaffolding.
You'll work on a variety of high-profile projects, including residential developments, hospitals and education facilities, supporting leading Tier 1 contractors.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel to sites across the Poole to Portsmouth region.
- Key role and responsibilities for Scaffolding Labourer (COTS)
- Assist scaffolders with the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of scaffolding.
- Load, unload and transport scaffolding materials around site.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and scaffolders at all times.
- Comply with all site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Carry out manual handling duties safely and efficiently.
- Ensure scaffolding materials are stored correctly and securely.
- Work safely at construction sites across the region.
- Wear and maintain the required PPE at all times.
- Support the team to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.
- Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Be willing to travel to sites throughout the Portsmouth to Poole region.
- Minimum requirements for Scaffolding Labourer (COTS)
- CISRS COTS Card
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test on induction and throughout employment.
- Good attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
- New entrants are welcome to apply.
Candidates without COTS may be considered if willing to complete the Health & Safety touchscreen test and COTS course.
Apprenticeship opportunities are also available for suitable candidates.

What we offer for Scaffolding Labourer (COTS)
- Competitive pay depending on experience.
- National Minimum Wage for 18–20-year-olds.
- £12.50–£13.00 per hour for candidates aged 21+, with higher rates considered for exceptional experience.
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:00 (30-minute unpaid break).
- Company vans may be available depending on location and availability.
- Long-term work across a variety of Tier 1 construction projects.
- Full PPE requirements provided (excluding personal safety boots where applicable).
- Training and career progression opportunities, including apprenticeships.
