We're Hiring Health & Safety Manager

Denholm Industrial Services is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our Roofing & Cladding division.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional to lead our safety strategy, promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement across our operations.

Working closely with Directors, Managers and operational teams, you will develop and implement Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation while supporting the safe, efficient and successful delivery of projects across the business.

Location

Remote / Based at one of our branches (Newcastle, Merseyside, London) with travel to the other branches and sites nationwide as and when required

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the company's Health & Safety strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Develop, review and implement Health & Safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Monitor Health & Safety performance, analysing trends and identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Carry out regular audits and inspections across operational sites.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work with operational teams to identify training needs and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Deliver Health & Safety meetings, toolbox talks and presentations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to Directors, Managers and site teams.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, the HSE and insurance providers where required.
  • Attend customer meetings and represent the business at Health & Safety forums.

What We're Looking For

  • 10 years of H&S experience in construction
  • CMIOSH + Diploma
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience carrying out site audits, investigations and risk assessments.
  • Confident working with clients, senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to operational sites.
