We're Hiring | Paint Supervisor | Glasgow

Denholm Industrial Services is currently recruiting an experienced Paint Supervisor to join our growing team in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead industrial painting teams on major marine and defence projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

  • Key Role & Responsibilities
  • Supervise industrial painting teams on site.
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee daily work activities.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with project programmes.
  • Allocate labour, materials and equipment effectively.
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with coating specifications.
  • Carry out site inspections and quality checks.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and daily team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) procedures.
  • Review and implement RAMS and permit-to-work requirements.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Site Management and clients.
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and timesheets.
  • Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.
  • Mentor and support operatives to maintain high performance standards.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across site.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience supervising industrial painting or protective coatings teams.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial painting, surface preparation and protective coatings.
  • Experience working within marine, defence, industrial or heavy engineering environments.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred. Train the Painter Supervisor, ICorr or NACE qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
  • Pay Rates
  • Basic: £23.50 per hour
  • Weekday OT1: £35.25 per hour
  • Weekday OT2: £47.00 per hour
  • Overtime: Available
