Key role and responsibilities for Industrial Painter role:

  • Prepare steel and other surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, scraping and masking prior to painting.
  • Apply protective coatings using brush and roller in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Mix and prepare paints and coatings to the correct ratios and ensure products are used within their specified pot life.
  • Carry out surface preparation to achieve the required standard before paint application.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure the required finish, coverage and quality standards are achieved.
  • Safely use and maintain painting tools, equipment and access systems.
  • Comply with all health, safety and environmental procedures, including the correct use of PPE and RPE.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean, organised and free from hazards.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to support the safe and efficient delivery of projects.

Minimum requirements for Industrial Painter role:

  • Train the painter protective coating applicator card (Bronze).
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain BPSS security clearance which as minimum candidates would need to provide including criminal record check, 3 years of employment history, right to work, 5 years address history.
  • Candidates would also need to be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
