Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Confined Space working Labour and operate all equipment of which you are trained to operate.
  • Carry out manual handling tasks, including lying out and connecting hose and digging out waste from vessels.
  • Carry out daily checks on equipment before use and monitor the equipment throughout the working day.
  • When acting as a crew member adhere to method statement and risk assessment and instruction given by the supervisor.
  • Be courteous to customers and act in a professional manner at all times.
  • Keep company vehicles clean and tidy at all times.
  • Report any faulty equipment or damages to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Working away from home on occasion will be required.
  • You will be required to work additional hours at short notice and be flexible in your start time as necessitated by the needs of the business.
  • You will be expected to be flexible and to carry out all reasonable duties as part of the job, as and when required.
  • This is in addition to other duties as may be reasonably required of you by the chairman or board of the company.
  • You should be aware that you may be called upon, from time to time, to act in a capacity outside of your normal duties e.g. in cases of absence, sickness or holidays of other members of staff.

  • Take reasonable care not to put other people – fellow employees and members of the public – at risk by what you do or don't do in the course of your work.
  • Follow DENV procedures / instructions on all health, safety and environmental matters, ensure that all required health, safety and environmental training is carried out and make sure that you understand and follow the company's health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Ensure that you do not interfere with or misuse anything that's been provided for your health, safety or welfare.
