Are you an experienced in Personal Tax and considering your opportunity? We've partnered a successful firm who have a unique opportunity for an experienced Tax Specialist to join the Private Client team as Tax Assistant. Based within their Glasgow City centre office, you will be joining an experienced team where your own career development will be supported. Hybrid and flexible working is available.
You will have the opportunity to work with a large and varied client portfolio, contributing to the wider success of the firm. This is a key hire for the team.
Your key responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Tax Director, you will be responsible for compliance services across a varied portfolio of clients
- Completion of tax returns for individuals, trusts and estates
- Review deceased cases for the wider department
- Preparation of Residuary Income Statements and R185s certificates
- CGT returns
- Support the team with project work
You are a strong communicator who can build excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your skills & experience:
- You will ideally hold a professional Accountancy or Tax Qualification including ICAS, ATT, CTA or equivalent
- You will ideally have completed training within a Professional firm of Accountants or legal firm
- Strong personal tax experience is essential
- Working knowledge of trusts and estates is advantageous
- Capital Gains Tax experience is preferred
- CCH experience is advantageous
- Strong communication skills
