The opportunity you've been waiting for. A chartered accountancy and business advisory firm with over 900 people across the UK are looking for a Business Advisory Senior team member. The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, and the advice they give makes a genuine difference. This Senior role can be hybrid based, in either Glasgow or Stirling, sitting at the heart of client delivery. You'll own a portfolio of accounts, work from start to finish, build real relationships with clients and their teams, and collaborate with specialists across tax and other business lines. It's a role with scope, variety, and a clear path forward.

How you'll make your mark

  • You will take responsibility for accounts preparation from end-to-end, clearing review points, finalising files, and making sure every piece of work meets the firm's standards and is delivered on time.

Key Deliverables

  • Prepare draft accounts from client records, clear review points, and finalise files to the firm's required standard.
  • Prepare initial business and personal tax computations, coordinating with tax staff to meet client deadlines.
  • Work alongside the relationship manager to schedule client and internal workloads and set realistic budgets.
  • Monitor time against budget, flagging overruns and issues to the manager early and clearly.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients' staff, keeping them informed of progress while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Identify opportunities to add further value for clients and flag these to the manager.
  • Engage with colleagues across business lines to develop a rounded understanding of each client's business.

What You Bring

  • A background in public practice, with solid experience in accounts preparation.
  • Qualified or near-qualified: AAT, CA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent. Strong experience without a formal qualification will also be considered.
  • Confident using accounting packages, with working knowledge of Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.
  • Tax experience is an advantage.
  • The permanent right to work in the UK without restriction. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
