Does the idea of working for a purpose-driven charity sound right for you? We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Finance professional to take responsibility for our bookkeeping and financial systems. This is a part-time role, ideal for someone looking for flexibility while playing a vital role in a values-led organisation.
You’ll oversee day-to-day finance while refining systems, reporting and budgets to ensure they are effective, compliant and fit for purpose across the charity.
You’ll need:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and finance administration
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, systems and reporting
- Experience preparing management accounts and supporting budgets
- Understanding of VAT returns, payroll processes and statutory compliance
- Experience supporting audits and working with external accountants
- High levels of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
- Experience of Xero or similar accounting software
- Charity sector knowledge and experience would be advantageous
You are:
- Highly organised and able to manage your workload independently
- Confident supporting senior leaders, trustees and committees with clear financial information
- A strong communicator who can explain finance matters to non-finance colleagues
- Proactive, reliable and solutions-focused
- Comfortable liaising with banks, auditors, insurers and regulators
- Aligned with our charity values and positive in your relationships with colleagues
