You’ve built the agency experience. You know how to manage demanding clients, steer complex campaigns, and keep projects moving when priorities shift.

You also understand the political and stakeholder landscape in Scotland. You know how the Scottish Parliament operates, how Local Authorities engage with communications activity, and how to navigate complex conversations with confidence and credibility.

Now you’re looking for a role with more influence. More visibility. More opportunity to shape both client strategy and the future direction of an agency.

How you’ll make your mark

  • Manage client relationships and develop strategic account plans
  • Deliver high‑quality PR, public affairs and stakeholder engagement campaigns
  • Provide strategic communications advice and day‑to‑day client support
  • Coordinate internal team delivery to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, political stakeholders and community partners
  • Support clients in influencing decision‑making processes and stakeholder relationships
  • Lead or contribute to new business pitches and growth opportunities
  • Line manage and mentor junior colleagues
  • Work closely with the Managing Director to support wider team development and agency growth
  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional agency services that support client objectives

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a confident, strategic and commercially aware communications professional with:

  • Proven agency experience at Account Director or Senior Account Manager level
  • Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, PR and public affairs
  • Knowledge of working with the Scottish Parliament and Local Authorities
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts and priorities
  • Strong business development and client‑facing skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership and relationship‑building abilities
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of agency operations
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
