An excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor specialising in residential property repairs and insurance reinstatement works. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in the trades, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of repair and maintenance projects. Ideally you will have some labouring experience or multi-trade experience.
Work is in the Midlands but also across the UK so some travel/overnight stays will be required (travel allowance/overnight allowance paid).
Skilled Labourer / Multi-Trade Operative Trainee Role- Assist skilled tradespeople with day-to-day repair and reinstatement works
- Carry out basic multi-trade tasks (e.g. minor carpentry, patch plastering, basic plumbing)
- Support property repairs following insurance claims (flood, fire, escape of water, etc.)
- Ensure work areas are safe, clean and compliant with health & safety standards
- Travel to residential properties and support works on-site
- Assist with installation of kitchens, bathrooms, doors, flooring, and other fixtures
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, office team and other trade colleagues
- Some experience in construction, labouring or property maintenance
- Willingness to learn and develop multi-trade skills
- Good work ethic, reliability and positive attitude
- Basic understanding of health & safety on site
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years) – Essential
- Willingness to travel as required
- Good communication skills and well presented
- A DBS check will be required
- Full training and ongoing support to develop trade skills
