We are looking for a Multi-Trade Operative / Trainee / Improver with some basic trades experience to join a dynamic team at a successful, progressive and professional company on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is an established contractor working within the insurance claims sector carrying out repairs to private domestic properties in the Midlands and across the UK.

If you have an NVQ / City & Guilds (or similar) or have completed an Apprenticeship this is ideal but not essential – if you have some experience supporting Multi-Trade Operatives on site and are looking for an opportunity to progress and gain further skills this could be the right role for you.

A full clean UK driving licence (and at least 2 years driving experience) is required – you will be provided with a company van and tools. You need to be open to some travel across the country with overnight stays.

Multi-Trade Improver Job role:
  • Undertake general multi-trade duties supporting experienced Multi-Trade Operatives including basic carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and patch plastering
  • Assisting with the installation of kitchens, doors, flooring, and other fixtures
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners, office team and other trade colleagues
What you will need:
  • Some basic trades/labouring experience working on residential property repairs
  • A willingness to support experienced trades team members whilst improving your own skills
  • Ability to carry out instructions and work as part of a team
  • To be able to work safely and adhere to health and safety at work
  • A full clean UK driving licence is essential (van provided) alongside willingness to travel as required
  • You will need at least 2 years driving experience
  • As you will be liaising with clients/homeowners you will need good communication skills and be well presented
  • A DBS check will be required
