We are looking for skilled and motivated Multi-Trade Operative to join a dynamic team at a successful, progressive and professional company on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is an established contractor working within the insurance claims sector carrying out repairs to private domestic properties in the Midlands and across the UK. They are looking to recruit a multi-trade operative who will be carrying out a variety of residential property repair works including basic carpentry, plastering, brickwork, crack repairs, decorating etc. You do not need to be an expert in all the above to apply, but we do want someone who has a variety of skills including plastering and some experience having dealt with subsidence issues.
If you have an NVQ / City & Guilds (or similar) or have completed an Apprenticeship this is ideal but not essential - time served will also be considered. A UK driving licence is required – you will be provided with a company van and tools. You need to be open to some travel across the UK with overnight stays.
What you will need:
- Multi-trade or specialist trade experience working on residential property repairs – following insurance claim damage (escape of water, fire, flood, subsidence).
- Some basic carpentry skills as well as plastering, crack repairs, brickwork and helical bar installation.
- Ability to carry out works to a very high standard and within timescales.
- Confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
- To be able to work safely and adhere to health and safety at work.
- A full UK driving licence is essential alongside willingness to travel as required.
- Good communication skills and well presented as you will be liaising with clients/homeowners.
- A DBS check will be required.
What you will get in return:
- Full-time, permanent employed contract (42.5 hours per week)
- £35,000 – 45,000 - depending on experience
