About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and dynamic specialist contractor team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK. While the role is London-based, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to travel nationwide as required. You will be the Quantity Surveyor responsible for multiple projects simultaneously, including large works projects valued around £250k; these are residential reinstatement works and education sector projects (schools).

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing cost control and commercial performance across multiple projects
  • Preparing cost plans, budgets, estimates, and valuations
  • Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Managing variations, change control, and final accounts
  • Conducting site visits and attending progress meetings
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to contractual requirements
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
  • Experience working on large works projects (circa £250k), residential, and/or education projects
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred)
