About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and dynamic specialist contractor team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK. While the role is London-based, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to travel nationwide as required. You will be the Quantity Surveyor responsible for multiple projects simultaneously, including large works projects valued around £250k; these are residential reinstatement works and education sector projects (schools).
Key Responsibilities
- Managing cost control and commercial performance across multiple projects
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, estimates, and valuations
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Managing variations, change control, and final accounts
- Conducting site visits and attending progress meetings
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to contractual requirements
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Experience working on large works projects (circa £250k), residential, and/or education projects
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred)
