We are looking for a Contracts Manager / Surveyor in the Scotland area somewhere from Glasgow to Edinburgh ideally. Experience in surveying, scoping & pricing property repairs and then managing the reinstatement works to completion is required (using a team of direct trades and sub-contractors).

This role will suit a Contracts Manager / Surveyor with a background in managing insurance claim reinstatement works, dealing with fire, flood and escape of water damage. This role is home-based and you would be joining a solid, successful and expanding company working with some key insurance industry clients and managing a team of trades dealing with insurance reinstatement works across a designated region of Scotland.

This Contracts Manager / Surveyor will need:

  • Experience in surveying properties, assessing damage and scoping/estimating property repairs/reinstatements
  • An understanding of the insurance claims industry (property claims)
  • Ability to assess some projects from photos/reports
  • A good knowledge of repair works; trades/labour, materials costs and project timescales
  • Ability to oversee projects from inception to completion including scheduling/programming relevant trades to carry out the repairs, site audits, ensuring profitability of project and that SLAs/KPIs are met, ensuring Health & Safety/CDM regulations & legislation is followed
  • Confidence in managing a team of trades carrying out repairs to specification
  • Excellent communication skills and customer care skills - experience dealing with policyholders, insurance companies and loss adjusters throughout the claims process
  • Good IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence (car allowance provided)
