We are looking for an experienced Insurance Surveyor for a well-established, family-run contractor delivering high-quality insurance reinstatement works from residential repairs to complex commercial losses (some high-net worth). Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand the team.

Surveyor role

This is a hybrid position combining site-based surveying with office-based technical administration / team work to manage the claims process.

  • Assessing insured damage, validating claims, preparing detailed scopes of work and costings (projects up to £300k)
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with client requirements, policyholder expectations and agreed specifications alongside the contracts manager/site teams
  • Site inspections and damage assessments (2–3 days per week)
  • Review contractor quotations and manage variations
  • Office-based reporting, estimating and claim management (Northampton)
  • Preparation of schedules of works
  • Management of stakeholder relationships including policyholders, insurers and adjusters

You will need:

- Background in insurance reinstatement, building surveying or property repairs

- Strong technical knowledge of construction and repair methods

- Experience writing schedules of works / using scoping tools

- Commercial awareness and attention to detail

- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
