We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly team for 20-25 hours per week, some flexibility with days and times.
Main duties of the job
Working under the supervision of the practice nurses and in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols the healthcare assistant will work as part of the practice multidisiplinary team to deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

We are a 10,500 patient practice situated in the leafy suburbs of South Buckinghamshire. We have a great friendly team of 2 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 long term Locums, 3 Physicians Associates, 4 Nurses, 1 HCA, 3 Pharmacists, 1 Social Prescriber , 1 First Contact Practitioner and 14 very supportive Admin Staff.
Job responsibilities
The Healthcare Assistant will support the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team delivering care within the scope of their practice to the entitled patient population.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths or Equivalent.
- Qualified to Care Certificate and/or NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3
- Qualified in Phlebotomy and Injection administration.
Experience
- Working within a nursing or healthcare environment
- Working in a Primary Health Care Team.
- Working with EMIS computer system.
