About the Role
As we enter the 'Panto' season, we're looking to recruit casual staff who are looking to pick up some extra hours whilst working in a fun and interesting role. We have a variety of shows and performances scheduled throughout the coming months, and we're looking for somebody to work alongside our technical team to make sure these run smoothly and professionally.
In this role, you will working as part of our Technical Team, moving equipment, sets and props, and operating technical light and sound equipment.
The key tasks will include:
- Assisting with setting up and operating staging and physical equipment for events and stage productions including staging, seating etc
- Setting up and assisting with the in house sound, lighting, and audio-visual equipment
- Assisting with and providing technical support for events and productions
- Preparing equipment, furniture and the format of rooms ready for use
- Assisting with 'Get In' and ‘Get Out’ arrangements which involves removing equipment for visiting shows
About You
Our ideal person will be someone hard working, who will get stuck in with the team to get the job done. You'll be hearing "it's behind you!" a lot at this time of year, so it would help if you're a fan of pantos and shows. We host shows throughout the week, from morning to evening, so we're looking for people who have availability throughout the panto season, including weekdays, evenings and weekends.
These roles involve physical work, such as lifting and moving equipment, so we need people who are physically able to carry out the role.
Health and Safety is critical in this type of role, so it's important to us that you're the type of person who does things in the right way and will take care to look after yourself and others.
If you have operated sound/lighting or stage equipment before then that's a bonus! But don't worry if not, we can provide training on using all of our equipment. An interest in an element of technical theatre production is required, such as lighting, sound, staging, flying systems & rigging etc.
