Personal assistant required for 5 hours per week funded through a direct payment, to support an individual to further their social skills, access the community and increase their overall independence away from the family home.
We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support an 19-year-old female, who is easy going, has a great sense of humour, enjoys shopping and creating online blogs. The citizen has Cerebral Palsy and uses an electric wheelchair. The individual is looking for someone to provide companionship while accessing and engaging in community activities, such as using public transport to go shopping or visit the local cinema.
Main Duties
• To provide companionship to the citizen.
• To support the citizen to further develop their independence away from home and out in the community.
• To access public transport and visit locations around the local authority and community.
• To engage in fun activities with the individual such as shopping, visiting the cinema, bowling etc.
Essential skills/experience:
• No experience or specific skills necessary.
