We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Food Safety Team within Public Protection. These roles are ideal for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact by safeguarding public health and ensuring high standards across local food businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out proactive and reactive inspections of food premises to ensure compliance with food legislation and take enforcement action where appropriate.
- Undertake targeted projects to improve service delivery and outcomes.
- Investigate complaints relating to food safety and standards.
- Respond to and manage infectious disease notifications.
- Work proactively with businesses to support compliance and promote best practice.
- Collaborate with other environmental health disciplines (health and safety, pollution control, housing enforcement and public health) using enforcement action as necessary.
