Assisting in running a smooth, safe and efficient high school kitchen.
Cooking and preparing meals and break time snacks to meet menu and special dietary requirements, agreed quality standards and in accordance with the school timetable.
Assisting in ordering materials from centrally appointed suppliers to keep adequate stocks to meet day-to-day demands.
Assisting in supervision of up to 14 Catering Assistants.
Assisting where required in the completion of the weekly catering returns, timesheets and other records necessary to ensure the effective administration of the service.
Assisting in ensuring that all food preparation, storage and service areas and staff working practices are hygienic and safe.
Assisting the Cook and staff to promote the service within the school to increase uptake of School Meals.
