I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for a Shift Electrical Engineer to join their established engineering team at a busy manufacturing facility based in Forfar, Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering long term stability, a supportive team environment and a varied, hands-on role.

The successful Shift Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of production machinery and site services. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting overall operational performance. This position would suit an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding, working on automated machinery and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Please note: This role includes a mixture of day shifts, back shifts and nights, as well as participation in an on-call rota. In return, you will receive an attractive salary and additional payments.

Shift Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across site equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on production machinery to minimise downtime.
  • Work on a range of equipment including motors, drives, control panels and automated systems.
  • Support PLC fault finding and assist with automation projects.
