I have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering organisation based in Portland, Dorset. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who is looking for a varied position combining workshop-based work with customer site visits, with occasional overnight stays away from home required to support business needs. The role will be split approximately 50% in the workshop and 50% on customer sites. Additional payments are provided when working away from home.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary, ongoing training and development, and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of engineering projects.
Requirements:- A demonstrable background in mechanical engineering.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience working with hydraulics, pumps, motors or similar equipment.
- Ability to fault find, diagnose and repair mechanical systems.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach with a willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required.
- Full UK driving licence.
Salary £40,000 - £45,000 DOE.
