Our client based in Barnsley is a reputable provider of engineering solutions to their customers. Due to continued expansion, they are now recruiting for an electrically biased Crane Engineer to join their team. The successful Crane Engineer will be based from home and will live in or close to the Barnsley, Sheffield or Rotherham areas and will travel to customer sites responding to breakdowns on Overhead Gantry Cranes and a range of factory-based equipment. The successful Crane Engineer will also be expected to carry out mechanical repairs to the equipment as required. Most of the work will be within the Yorkshire region, although there will be some occasional work further afield.

Crane Engineer Requirements:- Hold an electrical engineering qualification to a minimum of level 3.
- Strong electrical engineering knowledge with proven experience of working with 3 phase systems and equipment.
- Experience with carrying out fault finding, testing of equipment with the ability to strip down and assemble.
- Hold 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable.
- Mechanical skills.
- Able to work at heights; MEWP, Scissor Lift and Ladder training will be provided.
- Hold a full clean driving licence.
- Basic salary is £37,440 - £41,600 depending on skills and experience.
- Monday to Friday 40 hour working week.
- Opportunity for overtime.
- Door to door travel payments.
- Company van and mobile phone provided.
