My client is a leading recycling company based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. They are now recruiting a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their site. The successful Maintenance Engineer will work as part of a team responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks to the plant and equipment ensuring optimum performance and availability. Please note the successful Maintenance Engineer will be required to travel occasionally to two other company sites in Yorkshire; travel allowance will be provided.
Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
- Ensure all planned preventative maintenance is carried out and documented as per company requirements using the CMMS.
- Respond to plant breakdowns ensuring the plant is returned to production in a timely manner, any temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution and equipment is always left in safe working order.
- Adhere to all safety related documentation for all maintenance activities.
- Complete stock reviews and feedback on any items taken from the stores for reorder as required.
- Provide effective communication with team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and proactively.
- Participate in an on-call rota 1 in every 4 weeks.
Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
- Must hold a relevant electrical or mechanical engineering qualification to Level 3 as a minimum.
- Must have both mechanical and electrical experience although single bias will be considered with a view to providing additional training and gaining further qualifications.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Able to participate in the on call rota.
Maintenance Engineer Benefits:
- Basic annual salary starts at £37,440.
- Travel allowance - £1,500 per year.
- On call allowance - £2,275 per year.
- Monday to Friday 7am 3pm 42 hours per week.
