Do you have a background within Anaerobic Digestion (AD), waste processing, manufacturing or a similar process environment, combined with proven leadership experience?

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for a Plant Supervisor to join a well-established and growing business operating within the renewable energy and processing sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, drive operational performance and ensure the safe and efficient running of a busy processing facility.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site, leading operational teams, ensuring production targets are achieved and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the processing plant.

Manage and motivate operational teams to ensure safe and efficient site performance.

  • Coordinate staffing and resources to maximise production and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct team meetings, 1-to-1s and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and company procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Monitor plant performance and work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
  • Coordinate contractors and visitors, ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
  • Assist with budget control and cost management.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene and site compliance.
  • Produce operational reports and maintain accurate records. Plant Supervisor Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Plant Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Operations Supervisor or similar leadership role.
  • Background within Anaerobic Digestion, waste processing, manufacturing, production or another industrial process environment.
  • Proven experience leading, motivating and developing operational teams.
  • Strong organisational, planning and resource management skills.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and environmental compliance.
  • IOSH qualification desirable.
