An excellent opportunity has become available for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join a facilities management team working on a secure government site in Rutland, Leicestershire. The successful role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational. You will work as part of a supportive engineering team responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure across the site.
The position involves 39 hours per week across 7 days, including a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern:
- Week 1 - Monday to Friday with the weekend off
- Week 2 - Monday Rest Day, Tuesday to Sunday working
- Week 3 - Monday to Thursday working with Fri, Sat and Sunday off
There may also be participation in an on-call rota, with additional allowance and optional overtime available.
Requirements:
- City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
- 18th Edition (BS7671) preferred (17th Edition considered with opportunity to upskill).
- Experience carrying out planned and preventative electrical maintenance.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills on electrical systems.
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Experience with fire alarm or CCTV systems would be beneficial.
