My client is recruiting for a qualified Mobile Electrician to join a facilities management team in the West Midlands. This is a mobile role where you will travel across the region working in secure government sites. The successful Mobile Electrician role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure the sites remain safe, compliant and fully operational. You will act as the Responsible Person for electrical systems across your sites and undertake the role of Authorised Person (AP), managing electrical isolations and permit-to-work processes.
This is a brand new role, where you will be the first Mobile Electrician to form the regional team. The position involves 39 hours per week across 7 days, including a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern:
- Week 1 – Monday to Friday with the weekend off
- Week 2 – Monday Rest Day, Tuesday to Sunday working
- Week 3 – Monday to Thursday working with Fri, Sat and Sunday off
There may also be participation in an on-call rota, with additional allowance and optional overtime available.
Mobile Electrician Requirements:
- Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations and/or ECS Gold Card Approved Electrician.
- City & Guilds 2367 or 2357.
- 18th Edition (BS7671) preferred (17th Edition considered with opportunity to upskill).
- Experience of carrying out maintenance in industrial/commercial environments.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills on electrical systems.
- AM2 – desirable.
