Are you self-motivated, keen to learn and looking for an exciting new challenge? My client has an immediate requirement for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based at their manufacturing site in Wick Hill, Kent. The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, installations, planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdowns to the machinery on site. The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be joining a successful Global business, ensure the manufacturing facility remains operational, assist with projects to help the efficiency of the plant and uphold the company’s high standards.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

  • Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship program and hold a Mechanical qualification to level 3 as a minimum.
  • Proven ability working with drives, gears, pumps, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Welding experience is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working on single, 3 phase systems and PLCs is advantageous.
  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostic experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering diagrams and schematics.
  • A forklift license is beneficial.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

  • Salary up to £60,000
  • Monday to Friday 8am - 16.30pm
  • Pension scheme.
