I am recruiting on behalf of my client, an established technology business that delivers specialist software and communication solutions to customers across the UK.
They now have an immediate requirement for a Systems Support Engineer to join their technical team based in Brentford.
This is a hybrid role, initially office based while you complete your training before moving to a hybrid pattern of two days in the office and three days working from home.
Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will maintain and support business critical software applications and communication systems, ensuring customers receive a high level of technical support and service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an IT, networking or telecommunications background who enjoys fault finding, solving technical problems and working with innovative technologies.
- Systems Support Engineer Responsibilities
- Maintain, support and monitor business critical software applications and communication systems.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical faults.
- Manage and prioritise support requests using the company’s helpdesk system.
- Carry out routine system health checks and preventative maintenance.
- Assist with the installation, configuration and commissioning of new systems.
- Work closely with other technical teams to resolve customer issues.
- Support demonstrations of new products and solutions when required.
- Participate in an on call rota and provide out of hours support when required.

- Experience within IT, Networking or Telecommunications support.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Ability to investigate faults and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Full UK driving licence.
